An Analytical Report on Female Community Health Volunteers (FCHVs) of Nepal 2005

This is the fourth round survey of Female Community Health Volunteers (FCHVs) conducted by New ERA for ORC Macro. This study was to assess the basic health services such as needed commodities and providing information, communication, counseling and other supports to the rural community by FCHVS and to assess their performance in the 17 NFHP core program districts and in 9 additional districts where FCHVs are supported by other organizations such as UNICEF, PLAN, and Save the Children US. The study compares the basic services and supplies available to FCHVs in NFHP program districts with those available to FCHVs supported by other organizations.
